DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Despite the claims, this device is a generic USB charger, not a power adapter cord for your Garmin. Although I could use the device to recharge my Garmin 780 through the USB port, connection to the USB port renders the device useless as a GPS during the time it is being recharged, THEN you have to navigate on battery power. If I am lucky enough to be able to return this product, I expect I will be out shipping charges both ways. In any event, I now do not trust the information provided by CHARGERCITY, and so I expect never to do business with them again. Suggesting that the charger is a power adapter for a family of Garmin devices is grossly misleading and deceptive. If Garmin had a halfway decent on-line way to order a power cord directly, I would never have risked what I thought was simply a secondary market device.

Had mine for about six weeks. I found it broken on the floor of my car one morning. When securing the unit , a significant amount of force is needed to turn the lever to adhere the suction cup to the glass. This amount of force is apparently to much for the main frame and over time.... device failure. The gps unit was not mounted at the time so no additional weight contributed to the mounting bracket failing. Seems like a weak design... until some manufacturing changes are made to make it stronger I can't say I would recommend this product.

I have loved this mount. It attaches firmly to the windshield and can be adjusted to just about any position. I use it with my Rino530 and it holds the weight just perfect. I don't have to fish around my center console anymore to find my GPS and it holds it right where I can see it easily while navigating.

I purchased one of these disc packs for my Garmin a year ago. I'd read some reviews about them coming un-stuck from the dashboard so I wiped my dash with rubbing alcohol prior to sticking it on. It has been on for a year so far & there is no sign of it letting loose from the dash. The gps mount holds on to it quite well & I'm pleased with the product.



I think that the reason some of them are coming off is that the dash wasn't cleaned with rubbing alcohol before they were stuck down.

I use a Garmin GPS unit in my car. The Garmin dashboard disk was the perfect solution to mounting the unit to where I can see it easily while driving. I was pleased to see how easy it was to install and how well it holds the GPS mount in place. I have not yet tried to peel off the disk to see if it did any significant damage to the dashboard covering. I keep cars a long time so that isn't really a problem for me. I do suggest that you find a nice magnetic knicknack to set on the disk when you leave the car parked. Even though you probably take the GPS with you, the knicknack dould possible disguise the fact that you use a GPS and reduce the possibility of someone breaking into the car.

I needed Garmin dashboard disks because mine had become "unstuck" and the adhesive no longer worked. I didn't want to replace the entire mount. I couldn't find these at Garmin or elsewhere. Everyone else wanted to sell the ENTIRE MOUNT which I didn't need and didn't want to pay the extra for. So it was great to find them with this seller. The price was right and I THINK they would have worked fine.



The problem was that the adhesive used on the disks didn't seem to be strong or "sticky" enough to hold the mount in place. So it keeps falling off. So I had to go buy a "bean bag" to sit on my dash.



Nevertheless, to be fair, I still rated this product a 4 simply because I am not sure whether it failed to stick because the disk adhesive may have been of poor quality or because my dashboard may have had some kind of film from something the guys at the car wash used on my dashboard.



So overall the product SEEMED TO BE what I needed. Now however, I may need to order more disks because the adhesive on the other two no longer sticks on my dashboard. So basically, I wasted money and defeated my whole purpose of buying the disks, because I ended up having to go out and purchase the dashboard bean bag mount. (But again, at this point, since I am not sure of the cause of the failure, I won't blame this on the seller's product.)
